Bamboo shades are a great fit for some decoration schemes. Ms. Sprucer’s café had a good match with its maroon floors, faux-wooden walls, and decorative potted plants. She decided she wanted bamboo for her new external roller shades and used our help to get a custom-set installed.
Exterior shades of any kind need a fair amount of planning and appraisal before we can start manufacturing. Bamboo roller shades in particular are thicker and more brittle than most alternatives, so you need to be sure of the location. In this case, Ms. Spruder’s establishment was lucky to have a sheltered location and good awnings, to protect the exterior bamboo shades from rain. With deep enough frames to accommodate bamboo-hosting rollers, these windows made a fine home for a pair of Somfy remote controlled units. The bamboo sheets themselves are a custom made, in-house production!
